Game notes
What I’m watching
- 2 biggest questions everyone has:
- Does Chris Reynolds play with his upper-body injury? If he can’t, how does Shoffner look?
- Who the hell is available on the offensive line? Only 7 bodies has to be creating a headache in trying to gameplan and come up with contingencies in case of injuries in-game.
- Sounds like Georgia State likes to go man-to-man on the outside, can the WRs step up and make some plays this week?
- Does Aaron McAllister get more of the share of carries this week compared to App?
What I’m watching
- Markees Watts, is he a go with his lower-body injury?
- We gave up over 300 yards on the ground to Appalachian State, do we do a better job slowing down the ground game? Georgia State is a run-first team as well.
- Are we able to generate a pass rush? That was missing in Boone. Perhaps Romeo McKnight is a factor this time around.
- Can we create more turnovers again?
- Tyler Murray + Ben Deluca. The duo totaled 30 tackles in game 1
It was a hell of a debut for Charles Bankins group in Boone. What does the encore have in store?
What I’m watching
- More explosive plays? McAllister shined with his record-setting kickoff return for a TD
- Contine erasing punt returns? At Appalachian State we had 4 punts, only 2 returned for a total of 1 yard.
- Cruz on PATs, need to look more steady there.
