Biff Poggi adds OL help for this Fall
Did you think the class for Charlotte Football was finished with its 2023 class? Surprise, they aren’t, as Division Two transfer Offensive Lineman Jasper Parks announced his commitment to Charlotte this week on Twitter. Parks, 6’7 315, started his collegiate journey out at Western New Mexico University (D2 as well) before transferring to the University of Sioux Falls. After redshirting his first season with the Cougars, Parks was named NSIC All-Conference Second Team for his efforts this past season.
Jasper Parks joins a offensive line that has been re-tooled this off-season with quite a few additions via the portal. Biff Poggi has been clear, the offensive mission is to be a smash-mouth program that will run the ball, and then burn you over the top. He’ll have an offensive line that features more bodies this fall, with more height and size that Charlotte fans are accustomed to seeing.
It’s conceivable that Charlotte will continue to add — and lose — players via the transfer portal for this upcoming season. The portal floodgates will reopen again on May 1st, and close on May 15th for all non-graduate transfers. Graduate transfers are free to enter at any time.
After an amazing official visit I am honored to say that I am committed to UNC Charlotte!!! I wanna say thank you to everyone that has helped me on my journey. We can’t wait for this next chapter of our lives!!@KyleDeVan68 @CoachMorookian @BiffPoggi @CharlotteFTBL pic.twitter.com/I2TRWrJJ0q
