First commit for CLT in the 2022 class

Antonio “Tone” Gaines from Ridge View HS in Columbia, SC became the staffs first commit back on April 1st. Gaines is a mountain of a human coming in at 6’4, 310 pounds. In addition to his offer from Charlotte, Gaines holds an offer from Coastal Carolina. Gaines has a unique connection as his former HS coach Perry Parks is now Charlotte’s Wide Receivers coach.
