Six prospects are slated to visit CLT this weekend

Charlotte Football recruiting is moving ahead at full speed. Fresh off of three commitments this week, and hosting several visitors last weekend, they are primed to showcase Charlotte Football, the university, and city again this weekend.

Offensive visitors

Deshawn Purdie, Quarterback, Milford Mill Academy (MD)
Purdie is a current Charlotte Football commit, the first in the 2024 class. He's currently a 3-star prospect at both 247Sports and On3.

He holds offers from: Charlotte, Maryland, James Madison, Akron, Howard, Fordham, Stony Brook, NC A&T, Towson, and Morgan State.

Evan Austin, Athlete, Oakdale (MD)
Austin, a 3-star prospect at 247Sports & On3, is being recruited as an athlete, and has played QB and Safety for Oakdale. He's listed at 6'0, 175 pounds and has great offer sheet. From what I can tell Charlotte has not yet offered, but if you're bringing a recruit to campus for an official, odds are they will offer during the visit, or he just hasn't posted the offer to Twitter.

Dominic Silvia, Offensive Line, Dexter Southfield (MA)
Listed at 6'6, 320 pounds on his 247Sports profile, Silvia is a big young man. If you haven't noticed, Charlotte is clearly prioritizing size on the OL. In addition to his football talents, he's an All-American wrestler. He's not currently rated by a scouting service.

Defensive visitors

Cornell Allen, Defensive Back, Trinity Episcopal School (VA)
A 3-star prospect at 247Sports, Allen released a Top 10 on May 19th that featured: Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, UCF, Arizona State, Indiana, Kansas, Mizzou, Connecticut and Eastern Michigan. Looks like he has a laser timed 40 yard dash at 4.47. Charlotte's in solid company with Allen's recruitment.

Kendal Brown, Defensive End, Arabia Mountain (GA)
Listed at 6'4, 210 pounds on his On3 profile, Brown is a rangy EDGE prospect from the Peach State. Brown was offered just prior to Will Healy's termination, but re-offered by the new staff in January.

Grant Hessler, Defensive Line, Santa Barbara City College (CA)
The only JUCO propsect slated to visit CLT this weekend, Silvia tallied 24 tackles and 6 sacks for the Vaqueros last season in 10 contests. Hessler projects more as an interior defensive line prospect than on the edge. He's listed at 6'3, 295 pounds on his Twitter profile.

Offers include: Charlotte, Louisiana Tech, Murray State, Stephen F. Austin, and Missouri State.
