De'Gabriel Floyd, Charlotte commit (10/6/23)

Floyd is a former ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ in the 2019 class that enrolled at Texas and medically retired due to Spinal Stenosis in December of his freshman season, after he did not play in the fall. Fast forward to know, he's still an electrifying athlete at East Los Angeles College JUCO. Floyd did spend 2022 with Alabama A&M in the SWAC and had 16 tackles in 9 games, and was listed a 6'2 245 and played Safety. Charlotte's recruited Floyd as an Athlete and is possible he sees actions on both sides of the ball in the 704.

We all know Biff Poggi wants to "Run the Dang Ball", and with the recent losses of Shad Byrd and Durell Robinson to the portal (with potentially more coming), Charlotte needs to replenish the RB room. Enter Gainey, 6' 210, he'll bring size, speed and agility.

Davis played his HS ball at Mater Dei in California, a prolific program. Standing at 6'5 285, he'll give the program a great foundation to build upon.

Cary Grant, ⭐⭐⭐ DB, Troy commit

Grant committed to Troy in late August, and during a solid season earned more offers due to his play at Mississippi Gulf Coast JUCO. 247 Sports ranks him as 74th best JUCO prospect, with a composite ranking of 47th nationally.

Isaiah Myers, ⭐⭐⭐ WR from Independence CC

Myers has 3 years of eligibility remaining and would provide Charlotte with a much-needed WR target on the outside, standing at 6'5. This year Myers had 35 catches for 721 yards, and 10 touchdowns. He has a composite ranking of 32nd nationally, and 247 Sports has him as 44th best JUCO prospect.

Lewis actually signed with Ole Miss in February 2023 but for some reason didn't make it to Oxford. At 6'4 225, it's a great frame and LB is clearnly an area of need with Nikhai Hill-Greren, Derek Boykins, Tymere Burton and Brian Bates all departing, and uncertainty around Prince Bemah's return.
