Jordan Anderson | Defensive Back | 5'10 185 | Lafayette College (PA)

Jordan Anderson from Lafayette College has committed to Charlotte for his final 2 seasons of eligibility. Anderson took an official visit to Charlotte this past weekend, and decided CLT was the best place for him to finish his collegiate career. Pro Football Focus (PFF) grades Anderson out well defensively, and their ratings paint the picture of him being a solid tackler, which our secondary can use. For more PFF info on Anderson, be sure to check out the transfer portal PFF insights channel on Discord (annual subscription required)

In addition to playing football, Anderson has been a part of Lafayette's Track and Field program, posting career bests of 6.93 in the 60m, and 22.79 in the 200M.

Anderson is Charlotte's 8th transfer commit in the 2022 cycle.

Jordan, congratulations on your commitment to Charlotte. What led you to choose Charlotte?
I ended up picking Charlotte because touring the campus I was amazed with the campus and the facility. The coaches really made feel at home, talking to them whether over the phone or in person they were always energetic and passionate about football. The players I was fortunate to meet were welcoming, showed me around the city and told me what camps is like.

Who on the Charlotte staff was your primary recruiter? What's that relationship like?
Coach Brown and Coach Turk were my primary recruiters. Coach Brown is actually my position coach and immediately I could tell he was a great guy and coach. He always called in to check on me pumped to talk. I enjoyed all the stories of other players he’d talk about. He also knew coach Garrett, my head coach at Lafayette and Garrett had nothing but great things to say about coach Brown. Coach Turk would also call frequently to check in and he was always hype to hear what I had going on. Both coaches just got me pumped up to get back on the field.

What did you think about Charlotte's campus and the facilities on your official visit?
The campus was absolutely stunning. The red brick design was a nice aesthetic touch. The recreational facility and all the different activities and areas provided to the students really impressed me. The football facility was also incredible, the stadium, the locker room, and the weight room. Everything about the campus was just amazing.

What would you say are your strengths at the field in the defensive backfield?
I would say a big strength of mine is my physicality. I pride myself in being able to cover receivers but also come off the edge or fill a gab and take on and shed a block or meet the running back in the hole. I also can really on my quickness and ability to change directions to stay on the receiver. So I am excited to work with coach Brown, he has a lot of experience and he’s coached some phenomenal players and worked with amazing coaches.

Will you be enrolling over the summer or deferring until the fall semester?
I will be enrolling in the summer and getting to campus as soon as possible. I’m excited to get up to the campus so I can begin working and getting to know my teammates and the Defensive install.

Any message you'd like to share with Niner Nation?
To the Niner Nation, I’m excited to be apart of the community and I thank you guys for welcoming me. I'm excited to get up there and compete and build on what Coach Healy has started. We, the players and coaches, have a goal and we plan to achieve it, and create a legacy, Go Niners!
