6’7 Hybrid Forward out of Ohio
Per his Twitter, Assistant coach Vic Sfera and Head Coach Ron Sanchez have extended an offer to unsigned Forward Rich Rolf, Centerville High School (OH). Rolf was previously committed to the Drexel Dragons program but opened up his recruitment in the Fall of 2021 (link). Duquesne has also recently offered Rolf.
Currently Rolf is not on any recruiting services, but he’s visited Indiana, which leads me to think it could be a preferred walk-on situation. His current high school teammate Gabe Cupps is a current Hoosiers commit (2023) so they’ve likely seen plenty of Rolf in-person.
Jamie Shaw from ON3 recently wrote about Rolf in an article and had this to say:
Rolf is a high motor, mismatch four-man. He scored Centerville (Ohio) High’s first 16 points in this game with a soft touch from beyond the arc with outstanding balance and a quick release off the catch. Centerville also did an excellent job of using Rolf as a secondary initiator. He was trusted to grab-and-go when the opportunity was there, and he lined up in the mid and high post to have some actions run off him.
As of now Charlotte still has 2 open scholarship for the 2022 cycle, which includes 1 signee as of now, Nik Graves. With the season just concluding expect transfer portal activity to heat up as Charlotte looks to fill these 2 spots, and potentially more if there are any departures from the program.
