2026 non-conference slate now set
FBSchedules.com has reported that Charlotte will be playing at Louisville in 2026 on September 26th, and will pay Charlotte a $1.1 million guarantee. This shapes up to be Charlotte’s final non-conference game in 2026, with earlier contests vs: The Citadel, Ole Miss, and at Appalachian State. Charlotte is 0-1 all-time vs Louisville on the gridiron, and the banner for this post is the best thing to come from that outing.

That’s a strong slate for Biff Poggi’s program, but if he’s shown anything so far, he expects to be good and will undoubtedly not back down from any opponent. Future schedules have really show how CLT plans to schedule: FCS at home, regional G5, and 2 Power 5 games.
The closest game that is open for Charlotte is a 2025 G5 game, which will likely be on the road, based on the other 3 contests: UNC-Chapel Hill, Monmouth and at Georgia.
